Thales – Bid/Program and Compliance Controller
Position Summary
Thales is seeking a Bid/Program and Compliance Controller to oversee financial control and compliance throughout the lifecycle of bids and programs. Responsibilities include leading financial analysis for bids, tracking program performance, supporting risk management, and ensuring compliance with internal policies, customer requirements, and regulations. The role involves handling compliance topics such as ICQ/ICMA/YAL and ad-hoc requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop P&L and cash flow forecasts for bids and proposals, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and supporting sales campaigns.
- Create financial models and projections for new products/services, perform scenario analysis, and communicate results to senior leadership.
- Validate financial components for Gate reviews, ensure consistency with bid financials, and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with project finance teams to ensure smooth transition from bids to project delivery, update on bid status, and manage program financials including EAC updates.
- Participate in internal program reviews, including risk and opportunity assessments.
- Conduct audits related to ICQ/ICMA/YAL, ensuring operational effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of finance or accounting experience, or Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
- Experience in financial analysis and modeling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access.
- Ability to manage multiple bids, work independently, and lead responsibilities.
Position Details
- Schedule: Core hours 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., hybrid work environment, in-office Tuesday-Thursday, with possible collaboration with the APAC region.
- Travel: Domestic and/or international travel exceeding 10% may be required.
