Role Purpose:

This vital site role reports to the Aintree site HR Business Partner, supporting in generalist HR activity and in the development and deployment of colleague programs across Engagement, Inclusion, Diversity & Equity, and the roll-out and embedding of our Employee Value Proposition and UK&I regional strategy.

You will provide HR operational support to our site based manufacturing teams, ensuring all HR activities contribute valuable insights and are aligned to our site people plan and the wider priorities for the site.

  • Work with the Site HR Business Partner to support further development of the site Engagement strategy and roadmap.
  • Drive and champion the annual site engagement survey, identifying trends and working with stakeholders on action planning and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the maintenance of data and analytics to identify focus areas and areas for improvement, measuring and assessing success and impact on an ongoing basis.
  • Support the HR Business Partner and the site on their cultural change journey, role modeling winning traits and behaviors, and bringing fresh thinking to support all colleagues.
  • Maintain a network of contacts within the local community, driving social connections and CSR opportunities locally.
  • Establish rapport with key partners, ambassadors, and site colleagues to ensure our approach is built from within and optimally embedded into the site.
  • Work closely with L&D, OHW, Recruitment, and Comms to build a fantastic colleague experience into the employee lifecycle.
  • Drive the diversity, equity, and inclusion agenda at the site, leading on action planning to create a sense of belonging and a culture of inclusion.
  • Manage site communications to ensure clear, consistent messaging is shared at vital points in time.
  • Provide HR support to employees and supervisors/junior managers, through developing credible and positive relationships with the team.
  • Act as an effective HR manager by supporting the site HR agenda for designated functions and providing coaching support to junior managers on people-related matters.
  • Work in partnership with the resourcing team to provide an effective and proactive approach to recruitment and talent attraction & onboarding across to site.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of the L&D offering within pladis UK&I and optimize opportunities to develop colleague, management, and leadership capability levels.
  • Maintain links with HR centers of excellence, ensuring timely engagement and cascade of any new initiatives or required policy changes.
  • Provide proactive intervention for any Employee Relations matters, identifying support, upskilling requirements, and improvement opportunities.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen, engage, influence, and empower to drive forward the engagement agenda.
  • Well-developed planning, prioritization, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience of working in a HR environment and understanding of interconnections/drivers of Employee Engagement/Employee Life Cycle.
  • Passion and drive to challenge the norm to create a better work environment for all colleagues.
  • Ability to build respected, trusted, and supportive relationships with key partners.
  • Experience of working within a HR Operational role and understanding of interconnections/drivers of Employee Engagement/Employee Life Cycle.
  • Comprehensive experience of working with a range of people policies, including flexible working, maternity, disciplinary & grievance, performance improvement.
  • Knowledge and experience of employee relations issues, including resolution of ER issues through facilitation.
  • HR systems knowledge & experience.
  • A personal desire to continuously learn and develop to ensure new practices and thinking are understood and adopted.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • CIPD Level or equivalent.
  • Ability to effectively drive own workload and manage priorities.
  • Good planning and organization skills.
  • Influencing skills at all levels.
