Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of foster carers, providing guidance and support.

Ensure compliance with fostering regulations and agency policies.

Develop and implement training programs for foster carers to enhance their skills.

Build strong relationships with foster families, children, and external stakeholders.

Monitor the progress of children in care and advocate for their needs.

Oversee administrative tasks related to fostering placements and documentation.
Knowledge & Skills

In-depth knowledge of fostering legislation, Fostering National Minimum Standards (NMS) and guidance

Understanding of safeguarding procedures

Familiarity with inspection frameworks (e.g., Ofsted)

Strong leadership and team development skills

Ability to manage change and drive service improvement

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work flexibly and independently

Competence in using IT systems for case management and reporting
