About the team and the role
Our operations team seeks an Accounts Payable Administrator for 6 months.
What you\’ll do
- Accurate and timely processing of invoices, including inputting, coding, and PO matching invoices;
- Investigate and resolve pricing and quantity discrepancies on invoices using internal systems;
- Assist in preparing BACs and CHAPs payments when required;
- Work towards individual and team invoice targets;
- Assist in filing and maintaining the accuracy of filing systems;
- Manage queries from internal and external parties via telephone and email;
- Communicate with departments across the business;
- Identify and escalate issues and conflicts to the Team Leader;
- Adhere to contractual, legal, and regulatory obligations.
Who you are
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a customer-focused environment;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable;
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles;
- Experience resolving invoice discrepancies;
- Knowledge of ORACLE accounting software;
- GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths at grade C or above;
- Experience in a high-volume commercial department.
