Role: Operational Systems Support (OSS) Engineer

Duration: 3 months, starting immediately

Location: Warwick / Wokingham / Corsham / Farnborough

Mode: Hybrid – the majority of work is remote, with occasional travel to customer sites.

Candidate Requirements: SC Eligible OR SC Cleared, Immediate Starters ONLY

Project Description:

Part of the DCE Programme – data centre network build.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Support the OSS Operations team by improving service and customer focus, managing support of OSS applications, resolving fault tickets, and handling administrative duties. Escalate issues to 4th line support when necessary.
  2. Resolve fault tickets and perform application administration on the OSS estate. Collaborate with other IT teams to develop standard fixes to reduce ticket volume into 2nd line support.
  3. Proactively manage supported applications to increase reliability and quality, including reducing fault volumes, impact, and MTTR. Update documentation to meet standards.
  4. Work with development teams to review and recommend IT system improvements. Manage license compliance, security, patching, and capacity to ensure standards are met.
  5. Handle customer-related projects (MACDs).
  6. Onboard devices onto StableNet SNMP, including device discovery, configuring monitoring datapoints, setting alerts, creating reports, supporting fault management, and defect remediation.

Additional Information:

Support the Programme Team in managing the network infrastructure during implementation and transition to Early Life Support.
