Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Quality Specialist to join the Airbus team in Filton, playing a critical role in ensuring the seamless delivery of metallic Detail Parts to our global manufacturing sites. As the privileged interface to our specialized suppliers in Forming, Turning, and Machining, you will operate at the intersection of technical excellence and strategic oversight, taking direct responsibility for the deployment of methods that ensure sustainable on-time and on-quality performance. This high-visibility position offers a dynamic professional environment where frequent business travel allows you to engage directly with the supply chain, providing the autonomy to influence production standards and uphold the rigorous quality benchmarks that define Airbus. Responsibilities
- Support Multi-Functional Teams (MFT) in executing commodity strategies and managing supplier contracts, claims, and evolving requirements.
- Evaluate supplier-driven and internal change requests while deploying standardized supply chain and quality tools (e.g., AirSupply).
- Verify adherence to aviation authority requirements and maintain a dynamic industrial risk analysis and surveillance plan.
- Track On-Time, On-Quality (OTOQ) performance, reporting and escalating issues to protect internal production units.
- Secure supplier capability and capacity to meet maturity targets, identifying needs for recovery or long-term development.
- Maintain full visibility of delivery facts to analyze performance trends and proactively prevent the recurrence of supply chain disruptions.
- Manage and resolve product non-conformities (including NCs, concessions, and safety events) through root-cause eradication, while ensuring accurate tool updates and full compliance during internal, external, and EASA audits.
