Job Description
As theStrategic Business Manager, you will be a driven new business sales professional. This role would require a hunter mindset to be motivated with a collaborative and technically biased mindset. TheStrategic Business Manager will support the client throughout the whole sales cycle from proof of concept through to certification of a wide variety of products.
Required skills and experience:
- Five years’ experience in a business-to-business sales environment, ideally selling similar products or solutions, and demonstrable successful previous on-target performance.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to targets, understanding concepts of sales forecasting, pipeline management, conversion rates, and sales planning.
- Self-motivated with a positive \’can-do\’ attitude.
- Good IT skills, including experience of working with a CRM system.
- Engineering sales background in complex machinery.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiasticStrategic Business Manager to generate new leads, identify opportunities, meet clients, and close business deals for Assurance, Testing, and Certification across a range of industries.
Key activities:
- Face-to-face and Teams meetings with current and new business clients.
- Lead management, opportunity generation, and pipeline maintenance.
- Delivering high levels of customer service and building strong relationships with clients.
- Closing deals and achieving sales targets.
- Updating the Customer Relationship Management System.
- Network collaboration across the wider Intertek organisation to create leads with Intertek stakeholders.
- Identify new market trends and opportunities for expansion of the current client offering.
- Be well organised and planned, understanding the ‘numbers’ behind sales activity and maintaining them
- Understand the wider marketplace, identifying customer needs
- Strong Business to Business Selling in including high activity, physical and remote meetings
