Vista Aircraft Maintenance is the in-house maintenance provider for the Vista Members’ fleet, which comprises an unrivalled light, super mid-size, long-range and ultra-long-range aircraft. We are seeking a Aircraft Sheet Metal Worker on a full-time basis. As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will support aircraft maintenance by carrying out structural repairs and sheet metal work in line with approved data. The role will ensure safe, timely delivery of tasks, accurate documentation, and support general mechanic duties as needed, all within a safety-focused environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Perform aircraft structural repair tasks in line with provided repair data.
  • Install, repair, inspect, and replace sheet metal components.
  • Ensure the safe and timely delivery of structural repairs.
  • Adhere to aviation safety guidelines and operate sheet metal tools safely.
  • Complete repair documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Undertake general mechanical duties in the absence of sheet metal tasks.
  • Promote a ‘Just’ culture, adhere to health & safety policies, and report incidents through the safety management system.
  • Document work carried out on aircraft in detail.
  • Store, calibrate, label, and record all equipment and tooling properly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work environment.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by management related to the role.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Completed an Aeronautical Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in aviation maintenance, including 12 months in the specific area.
  • Thorough understanding of Part 145 and company MOE.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
  • Willing to undertake general Aviation Mechanic activities.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interpret work orders, work cards, and maintenance data.
  • Experience in removing uninstalled and rejected parts correctly.
  • Knowledge of personnel authorizations and limitations.
  • Understanding of safety management systems and ‘Just’ culture.
