Purpose

Move the parent reels from the end of the paper machine to the warehouse following safety and working instructions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Transport wrapped and labeled parent reels from the paper machine to the warehouse.
  • Prepare, move, and position parent reels, including wrapping if necessary according to site layout.
  • Weigh, wrap, label reels as required.
  • Record details in the stock management system if needed.
  • Apply stickers following quality procedures.
  • Operate forklifts and clamp trucks safely, perform daily checks, and report faults.
  • Operate other equipment as trained.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Assist with paper machine operation and cleaning when available, including trained tasks.
  • Follow all standards for quality, environment, health, and safety.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the shift.
  • Adhere to health and safety rules.

Qualifications and Benefits

  • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
  • FLT license or in-house training provided.
  • £12.22 per hour plus 25% shift allowance (Shift pattern – 4 days on, 4 days off; 2 days, 2 nights, 4 rest days; 6-6).
