Overview
Radis Community Care are looking for a Part Time Waking Night Shift Support Worker to join the Radis Team at Eden Place, St Ives. Eden Place has 55 one and two bedroom apartments that benefit from lots of communal facilities including a lounge, restaurant, hairdressing salon and garden, with the added reassurance of on- site care staff. Thursday and Friday Nights, alternative weekends. Sickness and annual leave cover available. Potential lone working.
Responsibilities
As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme, your primary responsibility is to assist elderly individuals who are experiencing physical frailty, helping them maintain as much independence as possible. This includes supporting people with restricted mobility by aiding them in moving safely to dining areas for meals, communal spaces for social engagement, and back to the privacy of their own rooms when requested. The role will require you to assist people with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with people, both individually and as a group. The core aim of this role is to promote independence, choice, dignity, and respect, consistently delivering care to the highest standard.
