Affinity Workforce Solutions are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant role within the Bridgwater area of Somerset on a full-time basis. The primary school caters for children between the ages of 4 to 11 and is part of a successful multi-academy trust. The trust prides themselves on providing a safe and motivating environment, enabling individuals \’to confidently and successfully achieve their full potential\”. We are looking for a positive individual who is passionate about embodying the trusts values, and to help contribute to the overall success of the school.

Key Responsibilities Of The Role:

  • Supporting the teaching staff to help implement the KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
  • Under the supervision of the class teacher, undertake a range of directed activities to support the educational and development needs of pupils.
  • Assist in the evaluation of student progress while feeding this back to the teacher.
  • Assist teachers with the organisation and maintenance of the classroom resources.

Essential Requirements:

  • Good standard of education (5 x GCSE\’s – English and Maths C or above).
  • Valid enhance DBS.
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • A positive, can-do attitude.

Desirables:

  • Have experience working with children (Does not have to be within a school setting).
  • A relevant, recognised qualification such as the NVQ for Teaching Assistants or Qualified first aider.
