We’re looking for a proactive and confident Programme Assistant to join our Corporate Division’s Programme Management Office (PMO). In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting the delivery of high-profile projects that contribute directly to the Trust’s strategic objectives. We’re looking for a proactive and confident Programme Assistant to join our Corporate Division’s Programme Management Office (PMO). Detailed job description and main responsibilities
As the PMO Programme Assistant you will:
- Provide day-to-day coordination and administrative support to the PMO team to help deliver key programmes and projects.
- Act as the first point of contact for queries related to PMO processes, systems, and documentation—via email, phone, Teams, or in person.
- Maintain and update project documentation, databases, and spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with governance standards.
- Support the preparation and distribution of reports, meeting papers, and data submissions in various formats.
- Assist in identifying and resolving issues or problems within projects, escalating where necessary and contributing to solutions.
- Deliver training and updates to staff on PMO tools, templates, and systems as required.
- Coordinate meetings and calendars, ensuring timely communication and follow-up on actions.
- Work flexibly and independently, managing competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
- NVQ Level 4/Diploma or equivalent in relevant area e.g. Business Admin, IT or Project Support plus relevant hands on experience
- Knowledge of HR and IT systems gained through training or experienced
Experience
- Experience of using IT Systems
- Significant experience of being the first point of contact for queries
- Significant previous experience of providing project support
- Significant experience using Microsoft Office products e.g. Excel, Word, project, PowerPoint to present data/provide basic statistical analysis and complex project documents, presentations or training material
Knowledge and skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent organisation and report writing skills
- Good understanding of Project Management documentation and how it’s utilised
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of keyboard skills (e.g. creating spreadsheets, documents, presentations
