Job Description – Key Accounts Manager

  • This is a new role, created to drive sales growth into an area with high potential but only a small number of existing stockists.
  • Using your skills, contacts and experience you will be tasked with:
  • Identifying key independents or garden centre groups that sell garden leisure products.
  • Secure meetings with relevant buyers to understand their needs and present solutions
  • Secure orders and schedule deliveries
  • Assist with in-store set up, assembling demonstration models and training staff
  • Visiting regularly to build brand reputation and to secure top-up orders
  • Attend trade and consumer events – occasionally at weekends
  • Provide product demonstrations
  • Work actively within the sales team to share best practice and celebrate successes.

Candidate profile – Key Accounts Manager

We are looking for a dynamic field sales professional with proven field sales skills within garden centres, BBQ, outdoor leisure, or garden furniture sectors.

Additional qualities are:

  • Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and hands-on approach to field sales.
  • Confident assembling product displays and delivering product demonstrations.
  • Commercially astute with the ability to structure mutually beneficial ranges.
  • Comfortable working flexibly, including occasional weekend events.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.

Salary/Benefits Information:

£42,000 base salary + 15% performance based bonus. Fully expensed hybrid company car, bbq for home use, staff discounts, 28 days holiday + bank holidays, mobile, laptop.
