Job Description

Assist with the provision of an efficient and effective integrated facilities management service within a Council/Partner premise. This includes providing reactive services covering Janitorial, Cleaning, and Crossing patrols across a service area. Ensure the delivery and integration of the Council\’s key objectives, specifically in relation to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.

Requirements

The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, to update their PVG Scheme Record before a formal employment offer is made. PVG records are constantly updated with new vetting information, which will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual

This is a full-time, temporary position based at the Johnnie Walker Bond, Kilmarnock. The salary ranges from £25,724 to £26,801 per annum. The role is 37 hours per week, with shift patterns under review, potentially including early/late shifts and weekends, to be discussed at interview. The post is temporary until 26th June 2026.
