The Role

Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wellbeing Mentor to join the Safeguarding and Wellbeing Team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide targeted support for students and apprentices experiencing mental health or wellbeing concerns, ensuring they receive the appropriate assistance at the earliest opportunity.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting students’ mental health and wellbeing, helping them to stay engaged in their studies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a primary point of contact for students with mental health concerns, coordinating responses and referrals to internal and external support services.
  • Managing a small caseload, developing individual wellbeing action plans within the Early Help framework.
  • Delivering one-to-one and small group sessions to promote resilience, wellbeing strategies, and mental health management.
  • Supporting cross-college wellbeing activities, awareness campaigns, and personal development initiatives.
  • Providing training and awareness sessions for staff on mental health and wellbeing.
