Full Time – 42hrs
3 on 3 off – 12hr Shifts – 07:45 – 20:15
Must be physically able to manage practical tasks
General knowledge of health and safety, compliance, repairs helpful
Although not a support worker role, will be interacting with and offering some support to clients so awareness and compassion of substance misuse, homelessness, mental health etc useful
Patrick House provides supported accommodation to adults who are at risk of homelessness with complex and high-level support needs, we manage the building to ensure the clients and building is safe. We also provide support to clients so they can maintain their tenancies.

JOB PURPOSE
To be part of a team that supports our clients, keeping them safe and helping them achieve their goals.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- To assist with engaging and supporting clients so they have a clear understanding of their rent accounts, their obligations in paying rent and service charges as well as the consequences of getting into arrears
- To assist with client activities to help them with managing their finances, paying rent, managing arrears and accessing benefits
- To engage with local authorities and other agencies, creating and maintaining constructive working relationships to work together to minimise the need for eviction due to non-payment of charges
- To maintain a proactive approach in preventing clients from accruing debts from the day they move in
- To support the housing management team to turn around void rooms
- To work in partnership and promote positive relationships with stakeholders
- To support clients in trauma informed and psychologically informed ways
- To adhere to safeguarding responsibilities, following our safeguarding policy and procedure
- To help maintain health and safety, ensuring clients, visitors and buildings are safe in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, policy and procedures
- To provide basic first aid assistance until help arrives (full training is provided)
- To work confidently and efficiently when lone working
- To maintain accurate records on our client management system and ensure these are stored in line with GDPR
- To maintain confidentiality
- To represent the organisation in a professional manner
- To carry out any other reasonable duties required in the interest of the organisation
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- This role will require an Enhanced with Barred List(s) disclosure and barring service check is a requirement for this role. This would be completed on appointment of the role.
- This role may require you to work with clients on a one-to-one basis
- This role will require you to work weekends and bank holidays

DESIRABLE CRITERIA
- Experience in similar sectors
- Experience in customer service roles
- Knowledge of safeguarding practice

- Clear verbal and written English
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

- Ability to self-motivate as you will work on your own
