Merco are delighted to be working with a respected neurological care provider in Ipswich to recruit a passionate and experienced Head of Care. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and shape the care provision at a specialist centre with a long-standing reputation for delivering exceptional support to individuals living with brain injuries and complex neurological needs. About the Service: This well-established neurological care centre provides residential and rehabilitation support for adults with acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions. With a person-centred approach at its core, the service works closely with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best possible outcomes and quality of life. You’ll be joining a dedicated and close-knit team with access to expert clinical professionals, where collaboration and compassion are at the heart of everything they do. The Role: As Head of Care, you will take a key leadership position within the service, ensuring the highest standards of care and regulatory compliance are maintained at all times. You’ll manage and support nursing and care teams, lead on clinical governance, and help embed a culture of professional development and continuous improvement. You will: Oversee the daily operations of the care and nursing teams, ensuring high-quality, safe, and person-centred care Mentor, supervise and support staff across care and rehab teams to enhance performance and morale Ensure robust, personalised care plans are in place and regularly reviewed in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team Maintain regulatory compliance, manage audits and ensure best practice is consistently followed Champion clinical excellence, safeguarding, and continuous professional development throughout the service About You: We are looking for an experienced clinical leader who is passionate about quality care and team development. You will need: A valid RGN nursing qualification Strong experience leading nursing teams or managing wards in a complex care setting Proven ability to deliver services aligned to regulatory frameworks and person-centred principles A Mentorship in Practice (MIP) qualification or a willingness to undertake Sound knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding, and health & social care legislation The ability to coach, mentor and inspire others to achieve their potential What’s in it for you?
