Job Overview Do you have experience with document management systems and an understanding of how they support the engineering design process? Southern Water is seeking highly motivated Document Controllers to join our dynamic Engineering team. Responsibilities will include: Stakeholder Management: Work closely alongside project design teams to ensure effective delivery of key project deliverables within given timescales, and in accordance with the engineering quality assurance procedures. Technical: Maintain and update key engineering data & document deliverables on ProjectWise and Business Collaborator whilst ensuring that files and data are accurate, up to date, relevant and accessible. Carry out system administrative tasks on BC and PW and any associating applications as required. Devise and carry out regular QA measures in line with the Information Management Quality Plan. Assist with generating and compiling project document progress reports as required. Monitor and control the submission and distribution of key project data and deliverables in line with the Quality Assurance process and document control procedures. Innovation: Support the information management strategy for the Engineering management team. People: Coordinate local and remote training to ensure overall document control and information management systems training requirements are met. About You * Document control experience with strong administration and technical skills. * Experience with using document management systems and electronic document distribution transmittals. * Knowledge or experience of working within a Common Data Environment will be desirable. * Experience with Project Wise and Business Collaborator an advantage. * Good overall IT literacy skills, and an understanding of Adobe Acrobat and MS applications, such as Excel, Word, Project, Power Point and Visio, is desirable. * Understand the role of document control and information management in the engineering design and project management process. * Technical understanding of how digital information management tools are used and how they interact with each other. * Understand other roles within the team, the role and objectives of the team in the business and can explain these clearly.
