Production Manager We are seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager to join our clients team in Telford. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the production department, with a strong focus on health and safety, operational excellence, and team leadership. The successful candidate will uphold the company\’s values and standards, champion safe working practices, and continuously improve systems to enhance productivity and product quality. As a Production Manager, you will need to have/be: Experience of managing a production facility. Highly accountable and responsible for safeguarding the factory operation. Ability to be decisive and work effectively under pressure. Positive and adept at multi-tasking. Team player. Strong organisational skills.Details: Salary: £45, 000 Working Hours: Full Time, Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm Location: Telford Duration: PermanentRole of Production Manager: Oversee a production team of approximately 30-35 staff, including: 4 Team Leaders and 2 Cleaners as well as skilled Production Operatives Hands-on approach with strong leadership presence on the shop floor Actively support and guide Team Leaders and operatives in day-to-day operations Promote a collaborative and efficient working environment Responsible for the health and safety and smooth running of the production process, shopfloor, stores, despatch and outside areas. Operating in accordance with the ISO9001, ISO14001 framework. Daily planning with shopfloor team-leaders to maintain and improve our performance output. Operating within budget. Organise and coordinate with the supply-chain, internal sales, and stores to maximise flow of materials. Use performance indicators to achieve objectives and promote improvements. Train and develop staff. Review non-conformances and support audit actions. Responsible for the upkeep and condition of machinery, tools and equipment in areas of responsibility. Ensuring waste is reduced within factory processes.
