The Fix are working with an interior design agency in the hospitality industry. They are seeking an experienced senior wayfinding designer, you will need to show you have created a full wayfinding scheme with a family of signs??? And show this within the portfolio, from within a hotel, space, head office, restaurant, bar etc You will work in collaboration with our internal interior design team and other celebrated international architects, the graphics team produces wayfinding, branding, and environmental graphic design for several of the world’s most luxurious interior spaces. The candidate will be required to deliver innovative and intuitive graphic solutions for prestigious leisure projects. Responsibilities will include Creative ideation and concept development, logo design, signage & wayfinding design and brand development. This role will also encompass wayfinding strategy, including location planning, content development and spatial analysis. As a senior member of the team, you will lead various stages of projects, working alongside a senior project manager, to proactively adhere to schedules while pushing creative briefs. Our role is to either interpret and work with existing brand guidelines, or to create a new brand or visual identity that will integrate seamlessly into a unique interiors space. The design brief varies from project to project, but our expertise spans naming, logo design, signage, wayfinding and printed graphic communications. As a Senior Wayfinding Designer, you will develop and implement intuitive navigation systems and signage strategies across diverse environments. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—designers, architects, clients, and fabricators—to deliver meaningful user experiences through spatial storytelling and visual communication. Conduct research for the organizational, cultural and physical context surrounding a project. Define clear signage and wayfinding strategies based on experience requirements, audience journeys, and site context. Generate multiple initial concepts and develop viable, documented design solutions that help solve a variety of problems for our clients. Integrate messaging, colour, imagery, type and composition into two and three-dimensional built environments. Collaborate with clients, design teams and other graphic designers across multiple industries. The senior wayfinding designer will lead projects from ideation to concept approval, generating beautiful, timeless designs and presentation decks that they will present both internally and externally to clients and stakeholders. Perform basic administrative/staff support duties as required Adhere to company protocol as laid out in the Company Handbook Attend meetings as required QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, industrial design, environmental design, architecture, visual communication or related field * 5+ years professional experience in environmental graphic design, print/digital design, or similar studio experience * Experience developing and communicating strategic foundations for projects * Experience with planning, documentation and management of environmental graphic, wayfinding and signage projects in the context of the built environment * Experience leading client presentations and relationships * Ability to lead and organise project teams * Experience across a variety of project scales and complexity of environments * Demonstrate the ability to translate strategy into design solutions * Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and MS Office * Familiarity with architectural construction documents, scales, sections, plans and elevations; proficiency in drawing in scale * Use of SketchUp, Revit, or other 3D modelling programs a plus * Working knowledge of motion graphics software, digital video editing, or other skills related to designing for and creating dynamic content a plus Salary dependant on experience. This position will be working in hybrid, from our creative studio in London bridge, and remotely (3,2 split, following an initial review period)
