This is a key senior role providing strong leadership and assurance during a period of change. The successful candidate will ensure the organisation\’s health, safety and wellbeing framework continues to support a safe, compliant and positive environment for staff, students and visitors. Responsibilities of the Interim Director of Health, Safety and Wellbeing will include: Lead and manage a central team of health, safety and wellbeing specialists. Act as the organisation\’s senior competent person under UK health and safety legislation. Oversee the review and development of governance, policies and management systems. Provide clear expert advice to senior leaders and the wider organisation. Build strong, collaborative relationships quickly across varied departments and stakeholder groups, promoting a positive safety culture.The successful Interim Director of Health, Safety and Wellbeing will have: Significant senior health and safety leadership experience in a large, complex organisation, experience in education or a similar environment is desirable. Diploma-level health and safety qualification (or equivalent). Excellent knowledge of UK health and safety law and governance. Strong leadership skills with a collaborative working style.
