Merco is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded neurorehabilitation service in Horsham, seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Specialist Physiotherapist to join their dedicated multi-disciplinary team. About the Service: Located just outside Broadbridge Heath, this residential service provides specialist neurorehabilitation to adults living with acquired brain injuries. You’ll work closely with a dedicated team of rehabilitation support workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and speech and language therapists. The service is focused on delivering person-centred care across three distinct rehabilitation pathways: Neurobehavioral, Neurorestorative, and Well-being. The Role: As Senior Specialist Physiotherapist, you’ll provide expert physiotherapy within a neurobehavioral model and take a leading role in developing the service’s physiotherapy provision. You\’ll be responsible for complex assessments, treatment planning, supervision of junior staff, and contributing to service-wide clinical excellence. Your responsibilities will include: Undertaking detailed neurological assessments and delivering tailored physiotherapy plans Leading complex clinical decision-making within the multidisciplinary team Providing advanced interventions across all three rehabilitation pathways Supporting and supervising physiotherapy colleagues, students, and assistants Acting as a key contributor to the ongoing development of specialist physiotherapy practices Supporting evidence-based practice through collaboration and training About You: You’ll be a confident and compassionate clinician with a passion for neurorehabilitation and a desire to lead within a collaborative, person-centred service. You’ll need: A Degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent) HCPC registration A minimum of 4 years post-registration experience, including at least 2 years in neurorehabilitation or a related field (e.g., learning disabilities, mental health, MSK) Strong clinical reasoning and experience working with acquired brain injury A Practice Placement qualification or willingness to complete one A full UK driving licence and willingness to drive service users in unit vehicles Flexibility to travel and stay overnight if required by service needs What’s in it for you?
