Purchasing Manager | £35,000 – £45,000 | Tunbridge Wells, Kent, 5 days a week onsite My client is a leading manufacturer within their industry, known for high quality products that are built to last. They are currently hiring for a Purchasing Manager to join their Procurement and Logistics team. This role will primarily focus on ensuring the smooth flow of goods and stock across the supply chain. Key Responsibilities: Oversee team performance and daily procurement workflows Negotiate with multiple freight forwarders to ensure best value and service Maintain and review supplier buying schedules and forecasting tools Coordinate overseas shipments, customs entries, and ensure Manage stock valuation files, transit logs, and projected cost updates Process tooling invoices and ensure accurate alignment with tax and reporting Address supply issues, quality concerns, and drive resolution with suppliers Contribute to ongoing process improvement across procurement and stock planning Essential Skills: 5+ years of experience in procurement, buying, or supply chain management Strong working knowledge of UK import procedures, VAT/duty payments, and compliance Demonstrated experience working with and negotiating multiple freight forwarders Previous experience managing team members or mentoring junior staff High proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, IFERROR, etc.) Confident using ERP systems (experience with NetSuite is a strong advantage) Package: Enhanced holiday £35,000 – £45,000 basic salary Free parking on site
