Optime Group are proud to be working with a leading in-flight services provider at Gatwick Airport. We\’re recruiting Flight Catering Coordinators to support the preparation and delivery of in-flight meals and equipment, ensuring every aircraft departs fully catered and on time.

This is a hands-on role that involves working with cabin crew, loading teams, and flight schedules to ensure everything is in place and on time for departure.

PLEASE NOTE: A Full UK Manual Driving Licence is mandatory for this position.


What’s on offer:

  • £15.21 per hour (plus holiday pay & pension)
  • 5 on 3 off shift pattern (subject to change)
  • 9.5-hour shifts between 03:00 and 20:00
  • Shift extensions available
  • Free meals and refreshments on site (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

  • Weekly pay (every Friday)
  • Temp-to-perm opportunity (based on performance)

Key duties:

  • Plan and organise daily workloads at the start of each shift, ensuring all flight requirements are met on time
  • Coordinate with internal teams to meet tight service deadlines and resolve any on-the-day issues
  • Driving airside between the catering unit and aircraft to support timely delivery
  • Load catering equipment, food, and drink into aircraft galleys and vehicles
  • Apply security seals to trolleys and equipment in line with client and regulatory requirements
  • Brief crew on catering contents and respond to on-the-day changes or special requests
  • Ensure all flight packs are packed to airline specifications and presentation standards
  • Communicate clearly with team leaders, loaders, and crew to prevent delays
  • Work safely, follow procedures, and maintain high hygiene standards (HACCP & COSHH)
  • Carry, lift, and move equipment weighing up to 23kg
  • Carry out general support duties across departments when required
  • Always represent the brand professionally when working with airline clients

What we’re looking for:

  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence (max. 3 points)
  • Previous experience in the airline or aviation sector (ideally 1 year or more)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset
  • A reliable team player who performs well under pressure
  • Self-motivated and confident working independently when needed
  • Good operational awareness and a basic understanding of HACCP, COSHH

PLEASE NOTE:As this position is in the aviation industry, successful applicants must be able to provide 5-year checkable history and pass a Basic DBS check.
