The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We are looking to strengthen our Delivery team with a Project Manager to manage a Waste Water site in Hodsock in the Severn Trent Region.

You will report directly to the Senior Project Manager, and your role will be to manage the design, construction, commissioning, and operation of contracts to ensure they are completed efficiently, to specifications, within the required timeframe, and within budget, without compromising health and safety, while ensuring good customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting exceptional safety and quality standards among the workforce.
  • Ensuring the Building Management System (BMS) is implemented throughout all project stages.
  • Maintaining strong client relationships at all levels.
  • Upholding the company\’s reputation by fostering good relationships with joint venture partners and suppliers.
  • Ensuring trained personnel are available and aware of their responsibilities.
  • Planning projects, including reviewing and approving the Project Execution Plan (PEP), and monitoring project delivery.
  • Preparing and approving detailed construction plans and method statements prior to activities.
  • Completing and making available all records referred to in the PEP at project completion.
  • Reporting site non-conformities and estimating associated costs.
  • Managing all commercial aspects proactively, providing accurate forecasts and estimates.
  • Applying comprehensive project management practices from conception to end-user acceptance.
  • Participating in professional development activities to stay current with industry changes.
  • Undertaking other duties as required, consistent with the role\’s responsibilities.
  • Presenting a professional image in all internal and external contacts and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Implementing quality, safety, and environmental policies and targets.
  • Ensuring customer requirements are met to enhance satisfaction.
  • Maintaining technical knowledge related to water and wastewater projects.

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Project Management experience managing multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, preferably within the water industry.
  • Degree or equivalent in construction, commercial, or engineering disciplines.
  • Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Delivery-driven with skills in target setting, team motivation, and management.
  • Experience in project delivery, strategic, operational, technical, and managerial skills.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, ideally NEC and/or IChemE, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to present at governance reviews confidently.
  • Risk and opportunity management experience.
  • Working knowledge of CDM regulations and construction health & safety standards.

Desirable qualifications and experience:

  • Experience with water and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Chartered status with an engineering, commercial, or construction institution.
  • NEC Project Manager Accreditation.
