The Services

Angus Homecare service provides care and support to older adults living in their own homes, the service covers the Arbroath, Carnoustie, Monifeith areas of Angus. The aim of this service is to assist individuals to remain in their own homes for as long as possible.

Angus Outreach service provides support to individuals living in their own homes who have a learning disability, mental health challenge or are affected by substance use. The aim of this service is to provide support to individuals to maintain or regain their independence and reach their full potential.

The Role

As the Registered Manager for the service you will be responsible for:

Providing leadership and management to a team of Managers/Senior Support Workers and Support workers, and ensuring the delivery of high quality services including: compliance with Health and Social Care Standards, delegated budget management, workforce planning, recruitment, selection and induction of new staff, implementation of policies and procedures within services, whilst supporting opportunities for continuous improvement in line with the Hillcrest Futures strategic objectives.

You will

  • Work within the responsibilities outlined in the role profile
  • Be required to obtain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post
  • Have a positive, flexible attitude, with an encouraging and supportive nature
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal and written.
  • Provide excellent Leadership and Management of staff teams and ensure contractual requirements are met
  • Be highly organised with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Possess an SVQ4 in Health and Social Care, and SVQ 4 in Management (or be willing to work toward this)
