We are looking for a Full Time Permanent Head Baker to join the team in our Restaurant in Klondyke Garden Centre.
Our competitive salary is dependent on experience.
Our restaurant boasts an impressive menu serving the highest quality, mouth-watering dishes using the best local produce along with sweet treats and home baking from our on-site bakery. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Head Baker who will relish the prospect of working in this fantastic facility.
The Role
As the Head Baker you will work lead the Bakery team to produce a range of freshly baked goods each day for both our Restaurants and on-site Farm Shop. Youll be enthusiastic and passionate about quality and freshness and produce that special something for our customers to have at the end of their meal and to take home. You will also work closely with the management team to develop our product range and drive sales in both the Restaurant and Farm Shop.
What you will be doing as a Head Baker?
- You will be responsible for the daily production of freshly baked scones, bread cakes and desserts for both the Restaurant and for retail sales in our Farm Shop
- Work closely with the Food Hall and Restaurant Operations Manager to plan range and production.
- Manage the training and development of the Bakery team.
- Ensure Bakery operates to the highest of Food Hygiene and Health and Safety Standards.
- Ensure all Food Labelling requirements are followed.
- Monitor stock levels and manage ordering process including a weekly stock count to ensure GP margins are achieved.
- Manage the cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards.
- Plan rotas and holidays to meet service level requirements.
