The primary purpose of this position is the creation of customer specifications and handling technical queries (including legal issues) conform to customer expectations, focusing right first time and in full on time within short and changing deadlines, enabling a customer centric approach, building for targeted relationships with key stakeholders internally and with customers. This with moderate to low level of supervision.
Responsibilities
Finished good specs/Compliance
Generation of customer product specifications and answers to technical enquiries:
Create and update detailed product specifications including the following data: Customer and Supplier data, Ingredient list, Allergen and intolerance data, GMO information, Microbiological spec, Analytical data, Physical data, Foreign body control, Storage condition and shelf life, Nutritional data, Packaging information, Spec authorization, Label example, Suggested on-pack declaration, Suitability info, HFSS info, Certifiable ingredients/Provenance, Animal by products, Supply chain map back to farm, Safety and stability control for ingredients, RTE controls.
Answer technical and legal inquiries as coordinated by the PI Team Lead.
Answer Crisis inquiries regarding the latest Food Alerts as coordinated by the PI Team Lead.
Compliance: Create product specifications in the required formats for customers within the time frame specified, in the required language, conform to BRC, ISO, legal and customer requirements.
Maintenance of documentation:
Maintain & update the files/specifications as organized by the Team Lead.
Maintain and update customer requirements files.
Customer certification: Support the execution of Halal, Kosher and RSPO certification.
Audits: Support Halal, Kosher, RSPO audits. Support customer audits, BRC audits, ISO audits and governmental audits.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders of the regional team: Sales team, Purchasing team and R&D teams.
Customer Communication – Customer Centric Approach
Develop close working relationships with selected / assigned customers\’ technical team, through regular direct contact thereby ensuring that the business understands the customer\’s requirements.
Requirements
Degree in Food Science, Nutrition or equivalent.
2 years\’ experience in customer specification completion is required.
Full knowledge of customer specification requirements.
