Responsibilities
Our client is a leading global source for high quality ingredients for Food & Beverage, Health & Nutrition, Animal Nutrition, Flavour & Fragrance, Personal Care industries worldwide. This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in the office, reporting to the Quality Team Leader. The role is within the Supplier Audit Pack Quality Team and involves renewal of audit pack documents and new supplier approvals. Other duties may include day-to-day support to the Quality department.
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier monitoring and renewing audit packs documentation, including:
- Renewal of audit packs according to requirements (food and feed products)
- Approval of new suppliers
- Evaluate risk assessments
- Navigate within internal systems (FBSS, Docuware, ADW)
- Animal feed approval
- Organic approval
- Participate in HACCP meetings
- Approve toll manufacturing orders and resolve related issues and queries
- Respond to technical queries from customers & suppliers related to ingredients, quality, and food safety
- Execute and participate in projects aimed at continuous improvement of the Quality Management System
- Review blocked inventory
- Support other Quality department tasks based on workload and priorities, such as:
- Arranging third-party laboratory analyses
- Approval of job processing
- Updating and reviewing product documentation (specifications, COA, SDS, allergens, GMO, labels, packaging, HACCP)
- Reviewing Standard Operating Procedures and other controlled documents
- Providing training and presentations
- Conducting internal audits and traceability exercises
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of quality (technical) requirements and standards in the food industry, with HACCP, BRC Food, or Agents and Brokers certification. Additionally, they should have over 3 years of experience in a quality, technical, or R&D role within the food, ingredients, or supplements industry. Some experience in auditing and resolving non-conformances or complaints is also required.
