Role: External Sales Manager

Location: Newcastle

Pay rate/Salary: Base Salary 35k to £45k + Performance Related Bonus

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday

Type: Permanent – Office/Field based

Start Date: Immediately (flexible for notice periods)

My client is a leading Electrical Wholesaler, one of the largest in the UK, they are recruiting for an External Sales Manager in their Newcastle Branch

The Role of Sales Manager:

  1. Growing and increasing sales in the branch’s geographical area.
  2. Continuously identifying and developing new and existing business accounts.
  3. Developing strong customer relationships to maximise the full potential of all accounts.
  4. Being resilient and not afraid of rejection, whether on the phone or face-to-face.
  5. Working as part of a team to achieve high standards of business excellence.

Essential Sales Manager Skills:

  1. Electrical Wholesale experience
  2. Cold calling on the telephone with willingness and tenacity
  3. Ability to approach companies directly, understanding how to identify suitable targets
  4. Confidently demonstrate sample products face-to-face to potential clients
  5. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  6. Independently plan, organise, and meet tight deadlines
  7. Smartly presented, portraying a professional image
  8. A valid UK driving licence

Desirable Sales Manager Skills:

  1. Punctuality, reliability, and effective time management
  2. Career-focused, hardworking, and ambitious
  3. Strong telephone skills
  4. Positive, ambitious, with excellent listening and communication skills
