Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on, commercially-minded Product Manager to take the reins of our Fencing Division – driving performance, developing people, and ensuring customers enjoy a first-class experience every time they visit. This is an exciting chance to shape a growing area of our business, working closely with our branch teams, suppliers, and external sales representatives to build strong customer relationships and deliver sustainable results.
What You Will Deliver
- Customer Experience: Champion a best-in-class service by ensuring the right products are available for local industries, responding promptly to enquiries, and winning new business.
- People Development: Lead, coach, and develop the Fencing teams in Inverness and Elgin – sharing product knowledge that makes us the trusted supplier for our customers.
- Supplier Engagement: Build strong supplier partnerships to keep our range competitive and relevant.
- Financial & Stock Performance: Drive revenue and margin growth while maintaining healthy stock turnover and minimising slow-moving items.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a sales and product strategy to grow revenue and profitability.
- Work closely with marketing to promote products internally and externally.
- Visit branches and customers regularly to engage teams and support sales.
- Identify new markets and opportunities, staying ahead of industry trends.
- Represent MIS at trade shows, events, and product demonstrations.
- Lead team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
What We’re Looking For
- A proven people-leader with strong commercial awareness and sales experience.
- Skilled in building relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Excellent at analysing performance data to inform decisions.
- Organised, proactive, and motivated by achieving targets.
- Confident with stock management and ERP systems.
- Full driving licence required.
