An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join a secondary school on a long-term basis from after February half term. This role may also include general cover responsibilities as required.

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Geography lessons, inspiring students to develop a strong understanding of the subject. You will be expected to plan, prepare and assess work in line with curriculum requirements, while maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning within the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching Geography across KS3&4

Planning and delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons

Assessing, marking and tracking student progress

Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Providing general cover when required

Contributing positively to the wider school community

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience teaching Geography within a secondary school setting

Strong classroom management skills

Ability to adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners

A flexible and professional approach, particularly when covering other subjects

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness xiskglj to obtain one)
