We have an opportunity for an Instrument Co-ordinator to join their team of staff in theTheatredepartment.
This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Duties of this role include:
- Oversee the preparation and availability of surgical instrumentation, liaising with internal decontamination services and external hospitals where required.
- Ensure all instruments are clean, functional, and delivered to the correct locations in a timely manner to meet daily theatre schedules.
- Assist in the ordering, rotation, and replenishment of theatre consumables, ensuring alignment with Circle Health Group’s preferred suppliers and procurement policies.
- Monitor stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking, supporting cost-effective resource utilisation and high theatre readiness.
- Support the theatre team in delivering seamless surgical services, contributing to improved patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Work closely with theatre practitioners, sterile services, procurement, and external providers to ensure clarity and continuity in equipment and stock availability.
- Ensure all instrumentation handling complies with hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
