Housekeeping Team Leader – EKC Broadstairs College
East Kent Colleges Group is seeking a reliable and organised Housekeeping Team Leader to join the busy and high-performing Estates Department at Broadstairs College.
This vital role ensures that all college spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety—creating an environment where students and staff can thrive.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading and supporting a team of housekeepers to deliver a consistent, high-quality cleaning service

Planning and coordinating daily cleaning routines across classrooms, communal areas, and specialist spaces

Operating and maintaining professional cleaning equipment and materials

Upholding health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with all hygiene and cleaning protocols

Monitoring and maintaining stock levels of cleaning supplies and reporting maintenance issues as needed

What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking someone who brings energy, reliability, and a strong eye for detail to this important leadership role. You will have:

Previous experience in team leadership and/or cleaning within a commercial or busy environment

The ability to learn quickly and adapt to new procedures or routines

A strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths – or a willingness to work towards them (with full support provided by the College)

A Health & Safety certificate – beneficial but not essential, as full training will be given
