Overview
Multi Skilled Engineer (Mechanical Biased) β Shift Based Role β Gloucester, United Kingdom. Role is day based, Monday to Friday, with weekend working on a rotational basis approx. every 6 weeks with a call out requirement.
What You Will Do
- The purpose of this role is to work as an integral part of the operations team to deliver effective and efficient maintenance to the manufacturing facility to ensure continuous operation 24 hours per day, 365 days a year.
- This role will support the site operations team in carrying out a wide range of engineering activities to include:
- Routine maintenance to support plant critical systems and equipment
- Equipment performance and reliability
- First line fault finding and diagnostics
- Support of Operations Improvement and Transformation projects
- The successful candidate will be expected to work on a range of manufacturing and utility systems that support the critical manufacturing environment for a quality critical automotive end use.
- Responsible for reliability of plant equipment and uptime, developing maintenance strategies and implementing improvements.
Qualifications
- Experience of the practical aspects of maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Successful completion of a Mechanical Apprenticeship
- Academic qualifications to maintain process machinery and equipment, including:
- NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical discipline or equivalent
- National Certificate in mechatronics engineering or equivalent
- Ability to work both independently and as part of the Operations Team
- Ability to plan, prioritise and schedule work in a busy manufacturing environment
- Experience with Computer Based Maintenance Planning systems
- Ability to work under pressure
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience of rotating equipment and vibration analysis
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this role is between Β£35k-Β£42k DOE per annum plus a Β£3823 per annum shift allowance, plus compensation for call outs when required. Our compensation philosophy is individualized based on contribution to the organization.
