The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Sunderland City Council are going through a positive period of development and transformation, whilst the city itself is undergoing large scale regeneration and development. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following post within the Economy & Place Directorate.

The Network, Parking and Road Safety Section requires a suitably qualified Group Engineer to provide leadership to the Parking Services and Street Works teams.

Applicants must be self-motivated and have a flexible approach to working arrangements and will have suitable experience and operational knowledge.

Additional qualifications would be desirable in Civil Parking Enforcement, and/or Conflict Management.

The main areas of responsibilities of the post include:
-Provide specialist expertise and knowledge across a range of parking and street works related areas. Additional professional qualifications would be desirable.
-Develop processes and ensure the delivery of services in line with service delivery plan and legislative and environmental requirements.
Manage service resource to ensure a value for money service is delivered in line with Council standing orders and financial regulations.
