Our client a major player in the Infrastructure and Construction Industry with an unrivalled reputation, require a part time Pensions Manager to join their team in Herts or London. This iconic brand know as an employer of choice they are looking for a part-time Pension Secretary 3 days a week to provide expert governance support to our Trustee Board. The role involves ensuring effective pension scheme governance, overseeing compliance with regulatory standards, and managing trustee communications and activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Organising quarterly trustee and admin sub-committee meetings, including agendas and documentation.
  • Acting as the primary contact between the Trustee Board, advisors, and the company on operational matters.
  • Addressing trustee, member, and advisor queries promptly with technical guidance.
  • Conducting quarterly reviews to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
  • Reviewing funding and investment performance, summarising key insights for trustee consideration.
  • Collaborating with the finance team on the scheme's annual report and statutory compliance.
  • Facilitating the annual trustee board effectiveness review and implementing improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Pension Scheme Manager or Pension Secretary with in-house expertise.
  • Strong understanding of pension scheme governance, compliance, and trustee responsibilities.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and reliable professional.
  • Relevant certifications in pensions management, governance, or financial services.

Day-to-day: The role involves organising meetings, addressing queries, reviewing compliance, collaborating with the finance team, and facilitating trustee board effectiveness reviews.
