Dardan Security, the largest security solutions company in Cambridge, is seeking a Bid Manager to lead our bid management process. This senior role handles tenders from £100k to £5m annually.
You will craft compelling, customer-focused responses to tenders (ITTs), pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs), and related submissions. The role involves collaboration with the Board Director responsible for sales, internal departments, operational teams, and clients, utilizing traditional bid writing and AI-based content tools.

Key duties include:
- Writing and editing persuasive, well-structured bid responses aligned with evaluation criteria.
- Translating technical information into clear, benefits-led narratives.
- Using AI tools to refine and version content, including prompt crafting and editing.
- Coordinating input from subject matter experts across departments.
- Maintaining and enhancing a bid content library and knowledge base.
- Supporting quality assurance, formatting, and compliance checks.
- Managing tender portals for opportunities and submissions.
- Contributing to marketing materials such as case studies and award submissions.
Preferred candidate qualities:
- Experience in bid writing or similar roles, ideally in the FM market.
- Knowledge of tender portals like Proactis, CCS, etc.
- Strong writing and editorial skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
- Familiarity with AI content generation tools.
- Excellent organization and multitasking skills.
Rewards and benefits include:
- Salary between £35,000 – £40,000, depending on experience.
- 40 hours per week, hybrid working (3 days in Head Office, 2 days home-based).
