The Oxford Education International team at OUP publish a wide range of print and digital educational products for international learners ages 3 to 18. We work with teachers, educational partners, and industry experts toensure maximum impact on educational outcomes.

We are seeking an Editor to join our thriving editorial team where you will be specialising in digital and blended educational products for our International school’s markets. You will be responsible for taking specific digital products through the planning, creation, and production process, and problem-solve to ensure that the products publish on time and to budget.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Proactively monitor production schedules across the international digital product list.
  • Create, edit and test digital content using our content authoring tools and digital production systems.
  • Make timely corrections to digital products, ensuring products are published within budget, and to consistently high standards.
  • Manage schedules for specific digital projects and updates, coordinating with freelancers, suppliers and with the cross-functional team.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments (Design, Digital, UX, etc.) on digital project requirements.
  • Support the wider international editorial team with digital projects.

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

About You

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, organized individual with the desire to develop their editorial skills in educational publishing. The successful candidate will have:

  • High levels of literacy and numeracy
  • High levels of IT literacy with experience of Microsoft Office and content creation/editing tools
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Experience of teaching and/or the use of online teaching resources (desirable)
  • Experience of digital content creation (desirable)
  • Experience of digital educational publishing (desirable)
