Principal Accountabilities:
To give these as objectives that are measurable, so that they can be used for appraisal purposes e.g. Communication – who with and reason for i.e. communications with directors and key internal stakeholders relating to new and established practices, or required to maintain up to date knowledge of current company products and new product lines being launched on the market by competitors.
Define and communicate the digital transformation vision and strategic objectives.
Lead the creation and execution of a transformation roadmap balancing quick wins and long-term value.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Leadership
Align senior leadership and cross-functional teams around the digital vision.
Act as a change agent to build buy-in and guide people through transition.
Process & Technology Evaluation
Work with 3rd party agency to implement the technology required
Vendor management and onboarding
Work closely with procurement to sign appropriate contracts
Be responsible for providing requirements and testing of the build
Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for digitisation, automation, or platform upgrades.
Deliver early wins through sprint-based execution (e.g., digital onboarding, reporting dashboards, new tech stack POCs).
Test, learn, and iterate quickly.
Governance & Measurement
Establish KPIs and tracking mechanisms to monitor progress and success of transformation initiatives and project success
Report regularly to execs and ensure accountability on project progress
Identify key issues and risks to the project, raise and manage accordingly
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with IT, operations, licensing, HR, and finance to embed digital solutions and team change into business-as-usual.
Vendor and Technology Partnerships
Manage relationships with key tech partners and vendors to support transformation initiatives.
Culture & Capability Building
Drive digital mindset and upskilling initiatives within teams.
Embed digital-first thinking into company culture.

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking. Our state of the art, sustainable campus offers many facilities including a gym, restaurant and indoor and outdoor break-out areas, as well as direct access to park and common land. The MTC is connected to Woking mainline station via regular shuttle buses, from which London Waterloo is a 30 minute train ride.
