We are currently seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to manage the warehouse team to ensure that quantity, quality, and delivery targets are achieved within the agreed timescales to ensure we continue to meet our customer needs (internal and external).

About the Role

The Warehouse Team Leader will supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including goods in, storage, and dispatch.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including goods in, storage, and dispatch.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of warehouse operatives to achieve operational goals.
  • Monitor and manage staff performance, providing regular feedback and conducting training as required.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company policies.
  • Oversee stock control, inventory management, and accurate order fulfilment.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A formal management/leadership qualification such as ILM or NVQ is desirable but not essential.
  • Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • FLT licence & experience would be an advantage as there would be a requirement to learn & use the trucks.
  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • A hands-on approach and the ability to lead by example.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • 2 years minimum managing 10+ in a warehouse team.

Hours of Work: 39.5

Monday – Thursday: 08.00am-4.30pm & Fridays 08:00am-4pm
