AXA Partners is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Management Accountant to join our FP&A Expenses Accounting team in Redhill. This is an exceptional opportunity to provide high-quality insights and analysis to senior management while playing a key role in financial reporting for UK&I.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the monthly production of balance sheet and P&L accounts.
  • Conduct analytical reviews of accounts to ensure accuracy and transparency.
  • Oversee the production of accruals and pre-payments along with relevant audit schedules.
  • Prepare and deliver the full P&L by reporting line and job family.
  • Ensure timely monthly reporting submissions into the Group via AXA’s reporting platform, Phoenix.
  • Manage quarterly reporting processes, including P&L and full TB submissions to Group via Magnitude.
  • Conduct Irish Pricing reviews to optimize joint venture pricing for AXA Insurance Ireland products.
  • Lead VAT processes for the UK and Ireland, ensuring on-time delivery of bimonthly and quarterly VAT returns.
  • Act as a key point of contact for both internal and external audits.
  • Assist the Financial Accounting team in preparing Board Packs for Irish board meetings.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts, perform variance analysis, and produce commentary schedules for management.
  • Ensure accuracy and suitability of budgets in collaboration with the Business Partnering Team.
  • Manage monthly balance sheet reconciliations for AXA Assistance Ireland and analyze intercompany balances.
  • Support senior management with expert analysis and data requests.
  • Complete regulatory returns, including ONS and Revenue Commissioners submissions, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Provide quarterly commentary on expenses variance analysis and support FCA submissions.

What You’ll Bring

  • Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is essential.
  • Prior experience in the insurance sector is desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel to effectively manage and analyze data.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with various teams and stakeholders.
