Overview
A range of quality own-brand and high street restaurants and cafés, mixed with great food, family-friendly menus and excellent service. The Food and Beverage department operates across nine restaurants, cafés and bars, plus a production kitchen, with around 350 team members. There are also five concessionary units including Bella Italia and Café Rouge. Center Parcs offers a variety of cuisines from American grills to authentic Indian dishes and relaxing drinks.
Role
KITCHEN ASSISTANT / COMMIS CHEF | £12.37 – £13.09 per hour
All colleagues working in Rajinda Pradesh, Huck’s American Bar and Grill, The Pancake House, Sports Café, The Lakeside Inn, Foresters\’ Inn and Vitalé Café Bar will benefit from the discretionary service charge added to bills. The majority of guests are happy to reward colleagues for excellent service.
We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant / Commis Chef to join our friendly team. You will have the chance to learn and progress from the ground floor up, helping with the preparation, cooking and presentation of food. You will work to high standards in an environment that combines popular menus and quality food with excellent service.
The ideal candidate should be able to work as part of a team and have the desire to learn and develop. Previous experience in a kitchen is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
Please note that to apply for a role with us, you must be able to reliably commute to Center Parcs Sherwood Forest (NG22 9DN) as it is not easily accessible by public transport. If you plan to use public transport, plan your journey in advance.
Hours of Work
We have the following contracts available on a flexible basis. Your hours and days of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.
- 80 hours per 4-week period – Fixed-term position until 12 February 2027
- 120 hours per 4-week period
- 150 hours per 4-week period
Please state your desired contracted hours from the options above under the suitability section of your application form. As our village is open 365 days a year, your working hours will include public/bank holidays and during Christmas and/or New Year on a rota basis.
