Ingenuity Prep prepares students in Ward 8 to succeed in college and beyond as impactful civic leaders. Our innovative instructional model promotes small group learning for students, collaborative teaching teams, and robust coaching and professional development opportunities for staff.
The Dedicated Special Education Aide will work in collaboration with other members of Ingenuity Prep’s Elementary School Academy to promote the academic and social-emotional development of one or more students who have been identified as benefiting from an increased and more consistent level of differentiated instruction and support. The Dedicated Special Education Aide will serve to provide critical support to students in behavior support capacities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Dedicated Special Education Aide, you will:
- Serve as a dedicated aide providing one-on-one support for a student or students in grades 1-4.
- Along with classroom teachers, support the development of ajoyful, efficient, learning-focused classroom culture — in alignment with the school’s vision of excellence for classroom culture.
- Along with classroom teachers, support exemplary student growth — both academically and socio-emotionally.
- Support students with self-care activities.
- Support classroom instruction with fidelity to plans and flexibility in responding to student understanding & misunderstanding.
- Consistently communicate and collaborate with families and students\’ influencers to cultivate productive partnerships.
- Collaborate with and support colleagues in both formal and informal professional development opportunities.
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism.
