Job Summary

Cigna is seeking a dynamic and experienced Market Insight Manager to lead our Net Promoter Score (NPS) and Brand Health Tracker initiatives. The successful candidate will also champion customised B2C and B2B projects aimed at enhancing our market understanding and strategic decision-making. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a passion for delivering actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Intake, Running, Analysis, and Management of Market Research Studies:
  • Oversee the intake, execution, and management of B2C and B2B ad-hoc and tracking research studies.
  • Scope and design research programmes, both qualitative and quantitative, to address business needs.
  • Execution and Delivery of Research Studies:
    • Lead the execution and delivery of both tracker and ad-hoc market research studies.
    • Liaise with vendors on methodology, sampling, fieldwork progress, reporting, and data analysis.
    • Analyse data and translate findings into actionable insights.
    • Partner with stakeholders on the activation of insight reports.
    • Address internal stakeholder queries and create research briefs.
  • Survey Programming and Execution:
    • Design and programme surveys to ensure they effectively capture the required data.
    • Oversee survey implementation, monitor survey progress and troubleshoot issues during fieldwork.
  • Data Synthesis and Insight Generation:
    • Synthesize data from multiple sources and translate findings into actionable business strategy recommendations.
    • Conduct mixed-methods qualitative and quantitative research.
    • Investigate customer trends and provide insights.
    • Provide insights for different customer groups across their lifecycles, addressing critical topics such as acquisition and migration.

    Requirements

    • Communication and Presentation Skills:
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey insights supported by data.
    • Skilled in creating presentations to effectively communicate findings.
  • Quantitative and Qualitative Research Techniques:
    • Knowledge of quantitative research techniques, including survey research, descriptive research, correlation research, and experimental research.
    • Trained in qualitative research, including IDIs, FGDs, ethnography and observational research.
  • Data Analysis and Vendor Management:
    • Ability to synthesize research and analytics into clear insights and deliver actionable recommendations.
    • Experience with vendor and project management.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, as well as data visualization tools like Tableau.
    • Data-driven and numerate, with expertise in statistical, univariate, and multivariate analysis.
    • Experience conducting consumer and B2B surveys across multiple markets, including the Europe, Americas, ME&A, and APAC.

    • Consultative skills to partner with key stakeholders at all levels to develop research plans and insights.
    • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively across multiple levels within the organisation.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, collaborator, and team player.
    • Self-starter with a strong willingness to learn and the ability to work independently at a senior level.
    • Detail-minded with critical thinking.
    • Flexible and resilient, willing to work outside regular hours to support international stakeholders.
    • Excellent command of both written and spoken English.

    Background

    • Degree holder, ideally in Statistics, Marketing, Psychology, or a related discipline.
    • Over 10 years of experience in consumer insights or market research, with at least 6 years in a project and stakeholder management role.
    • Agency experience at a large full-service market research agency, including Kantar, Ipsos, YouGov, Nielsen, GfK, Millward Brown, is preferred.
