Role: Communication Support Worker
Location: Merseyside
Salary: 18 – 23 per hour
Type: Part-time temporary (20 hours)

Eden Brown are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Communication Support Worker to join a leading further education college in Merseyside on a part-time basis.

This is a part-time temporary role of 20 hours per week that will run from September until the end of the academic year (hours to be confirmed due to timetabling)

About the Role:
As a Communication Support Worker, you will provide vital assistance to students who face communication challenges, helping them to engage fully in their learning environment. You will work closely with teaching staff and students to facilitate effective communication, promoting independence and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:
Supporting students with speech, language, and communication needs during lessons and college activities
Assisting in implementing communication strategies and tools
Encouraging student participation and interaction
Collaborating with educators and support staff to tailor communication support
Maintaining accurate records and providing feedback on student progress

What We\’re Looking For:
Experience or interest in supporting individuals with communication needs (e.g., speech impairments, autism, hearing difficulties)
British Sign Language (BSL):qualification (Preferably level 3)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting learners
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility and reliability

A current DBS will also be needed for this role.
