Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 or 3 Qualified Practitioner to join our client primary school in Gosport.
About the Role
We are looking for an Early Years Learning Support Assistant to work across Reception and Year 1, supporting children both one-on-one and in small groups. This role is a wonderful opportunity to make a real difference to children who need a little extra support to reach their full potential.
What You\’ll Be Doing
Your role will be varied, engaging, and full of opportunities to inspire young minds. You will:
Support children\’s learning and development through play, exploration, and structured activities
Encourage social skills, confidence, and independence in a warm and supportive way
Help establish clear routines that create a calm, positive learning environment
Work alongside the teacher to plan and deliver engaging activities that bring the EYFS curriculum to life
Observe, record, and contribute to assessments of children\’s progress
Provide additional support where needed, ensuring all children feel included and valued
Assist with personal care, always putting the children\’s well-being first
Maintain confidentiality and uphold safeguarding procedures at all times
What We\’re Looking For
We would love to hear from you if you:
Have a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (desirable but not essential)
Have experience working in an early years setting
Are committed to safeguarding children and ensuring they feel secure and supported
Have a caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach, along with a great sense of humour
Understand the EYFS framework and child development
Communicate well and thrive in a team environment
Have good English, Maths, and IT skills
