We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a highly skilled and self-motivated Contracts Manager / Construction Project & Commercial Manager who has previous commercial experience within the construction industry with strong leadership, financial management and contract delivery experience, managing contracts from inception to completion.
Working as a Contracts Manager / Construction Project & Commercial Manager you will manage multiple projects, both new build and refurbishment works, from start to finish.
As a Contracts Manager / Construction Project & Commercial Manager you will ensure the smooth running of each project, including financial, personnel and subcontractor management, site safety and industry regulations and client liaison aspects.
As a successful candidate you will possess strong leadership qualities and a comprehensive understanding of project management.

DUTIES
Your duties as Contracts Manager / Construction Project & Commercial Manager will include:
• Financial Management – Monitoring contract performance, managing budgets and producing valuations
• Contract Delivery – Working with a team of Project Managers to communicate and coordinate effectively to ensure projects are completed safely, on programme and on budget, and all work is delivered to exacting standards
• Project Management – Working on projects with a value between £10,000 and £750,000
• Contract Administration – Managing contract amendments, variations, extensions of time
• Estimating – Experience in pricing of contracts and tenders
• Client Relations – Building and maintaining strong relations with existing and new clients
• Compliance – Ensuring contracts comply with legal regulations and industry standards
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Technical Skill – Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the construction industry, ideally with experience across varying disciplines
• Management Skills – Competent management of project teams, including subcontractors, maintaining performance, budgets and critical timelines across multiple live projects
• Organisational Skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem solving and organisation across multiple contracts simultaneously, with excellent attention to detail
• IT Skills – High level of competency in Excel, Word to maintain and comply with contract documentation
• Qualifications – SMSTS (or similar) and CSCS qualifications are desirable
• Full UK driving licence required
