About The Role
The Design Excellence Lead – 3D/CGI plays a hands-on, craft-focused role in developing exceptional 3D product design and CGI brand assets that elevate the consumer experience across Reckitt’s Powerbrands. Reporting to the Head of Design Excellence – 3D, this role is central to creating compelling 3D visual narratives that bring to life product benefits, packaging experiences, and scientific storytelling.
This role blends technical proficiency in modelling, rendering, and visual storytelling with a deep understanding of brand identity and consumer relevance. It collaborates closely with design, R&D, marketing, and external agencies to deliver highly crafted assets for use across packaging, eCommerce, brand campaigns, and digital platforms.
Your responsibilities
- 3D Asset Creation & Design Craft
- Develop high-quality 3D models, renders, and visual assets that accurately express product form, function, and consumer benefit.
- Translate packaging and product concepts into digital 3D assets that support innovation and visual storytelling.
- Work across categories to deliver consistent, brand-aligned 3D executions, ensuring high quality.
- Execute with attention to materiality, lighting, finish, and detail, creating visually rich assets for multiple touchpoints.
- CGI Storytelling & Content Support
- Collaborate with design leads and marketing teams to develop CGI content that communicates product efficacy, science, and usage rituals.
- Build reusable CGI toolkits that enable scalable brand activation across eCommerce, social media, and digital campaigns.
- Support the creation of digital twins and motion-based content for dynamic storytelling needs.
- Contribute to establishing Reckitt’s internal visual language for 3D and CGI design.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Support
- Work with the R&D 3D team to align creative output with technical and manufacturing requirements.
- Partner with external CGI agencies and creative studios to deliver large-scale or complex visualisation projects.
- Participate in design reviews, feedback sessions, and cross-functional meetings to align expectations and outputs.
- Innovation & Capability Building
- Stay current with emerging tools and techniques in CGI, 3D modelling, real-time rendering, and generative design.
- Recommend new tools, plugins, or pipelines that improve efficiency and output quality.
- Support pilot projects to explore new 3D formats and interactive experiences.
- Act as a technical mentor to junior designers or future 3D hires.
The experience we\’re looking for
- Experience in 3D design, CGI production, or industrial design, ideally in agency or brand experience environments.
- Strong portfolio showcasing product visualisation, packaging mockups, storytelling assets, and photorealistic renders.
- Proficient in 3D and CGI software such as Blender, Cinema 4D, Keyshot, ZBrush, Maya, or Unreal Engine.
- Skilled in post-production and visual refinement tools (Photoshop, After Effects, etc.).
- Experience in both static and animated content creation is desirable.
