What You’ll Be Doing
As a painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying coatings to wood products.
Responsibilities
- Sand, fill, and seal wood surfaces
- Use brushes, rollers, or sprayers to apply paints, stains, varnishes
- Inspect finished products for defects and make touch-ups
- Maintain equipment and work area in an orderly manner
- Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and company standards
- Perform other duties/projects as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma / GED
- Ability to use all related tools and equipment effectively and safely
- Ability to work cooperatively with members of other teams to meet goals
- Must be available to work overtime if required
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Physical Demands
- Mobility necessary to perform a variety of tasks that involve standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, and twisting, possibly reaching chest high and overhead for materials
- Ability to lift/move/pull 10-50lbs occasionally throughout the day
- Ability to hear adequately on the phone or in person and group settings
- Vision: Required to have close visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception
- Use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate standard tools and equipment
- Must be able to stand and/or walk (90% of the day) and consistently reach, bend, and move inside the facility to move product
